Hello! I’m Colleen Scholer—an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, entrepreneur, wife and mom of three amazing children.
I’m so glad you stopped by my website! If you’re reading this, we probably have a lot in common. Perhaps you’re looking for a healthier life and a less stressful way of being the best person you can be. I know what that feels like—I’ve been there.
I know what it’s like to want to reach for a better life but feeling as if you lack the motivation and the focus necessary for success. In fact, my daily reality was once very different.
Not so long ago, I lived every day in pain. I had fibromyalgia symptoms that were so intense it was painful for me to hold hands with my husband and child. Even the slightest squeeze on my hand caused me to wince.
I was lucky to have the support and love of the most wonderful man in the world, my husband and best friend—who also happens to be a pediatrician. Because of his medical background, he understood my pain on a whole other level.
Even with the best support possible, I just couldn’t get any traction on improving my health. I was in pain and exhausted. Although I loved spending time with my family, my experience of pain colored how I lived my life. The pain was always there, just waiting around the corner.
I wasn’t able to make the most of each day because my priority was dealing with the pain. Then one day I simply got sick of telling everyone (including my husband), that I was “busy and tired,” and made the decision to take control of my health.
I enrolled in in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and spent the next year learning what works best for my family and me. I learned so much, and in that learning, I got healthy.
I found out that the journey was not completely about food and exercise. And I learned that it’s not about reaching some mythical destination of unattainable perfect health.
Instead, I found out that the transformation is all about the journey itself. It’s all about the choices we make in each moment. It’s about making simple changes throughout the course of each day. And it’s all about continuing to make those same good choices tomorrow and each day that follows.
I’ve learned that we are not identical in what we need to be healthy. Our needs and our choices are as individual and as unique as we are, and we need to honor that.
It’s no wonder that so many of us fail at one-size-fits-all approaches to improving our diets and developing healthy lifestyles. We need to find the plan that gives us the greatest chance of success, an approach that works well with our outer lives and one that resonates our inner selves.
Are you having problems making the choices that are best for you? If so, please give me a call or drop me a lline. I’d love to do what I can to help get you moving in the direction you desire.
We’ll determine what works best for you, and we’ll make it fun!
